Taulant Mehmeti: Jazz Duo 2015
Jazz Duo Taulant Mehmeti on guitar, with Fima Chupakhin keyboard performance at the 2015 Culture Forum. Taulant Mehmeti, Kosovo born Albanian guitarist and a recent graduate from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music is a natural improviser, drawing upon the rich Balkan rhythms and gypsy music he grew up hearing and playing. Along with his deep interest in jazz and Django Reinhardt, Charlie Parker and Wes Montgomery as major influences, his musical sensibility is equally informed by funk, rock, and world music genres. Taulant’s music weaves these bright strands into a shimmering tapestry of his own creation.

This Silence is a short documentary following dancer and choreographer Gentian Doda. It tells the story through movement and emotions on stage, with a quiet look at New York City streets.
