The Beginning of Tired Thrift

Lediona Zharku (23) and Elona Zharku (22) are Kosovar-American business owners born and raised in Queens, NY.  Being lovers of thrift stores and vintage fashion, they began selling second-hand clothing at Artist & Flees market in Brooklyn which eventually led to them opening up a physical location. They opened  Tired Thrift in Greenpoint, Brooklyn in 2020 which has become a huge success through Tik Tok, gaining recognition and business from celebrities like Olivia Rodrigo, Amelia Gray, and more. Through this interview with Alissa Xhixhabesi, the two discuss the start of their business and the support from the Albanian community.
