Biography
Besfort Syla, (b. 1998 in Prishtina, Kosovo) is a photographer, a communication design graduate currently working as a graphic designer and photographer in Kosovo and abroad. Although he recently has been working a lot on fashion photography, he finds it as very important to use his platform and work to highlight and tackle social issues as well, such as domestic violence, gender identity, discrimination and many more.
In collaboration with other Albanian artists, he also aims to show the unstoppable work that these artists do regardless of the challenges that are faced in the country they live in.
His project “Censored Body, Censored Mind” has been selected in the midst of 10 other artists from the Balkans to be part of the exhibition “Les Balkannes” in Paris, France.
Additionally, since 2018 he has been alumni of Initiatives of Change, Switzerland (iofC), participating in events, trainings, conferences on topics such as: Creative Leadership, Children as Actors and transforming Society, Europe’s Unfinished Businesses etc.
